Thats me above, Its always good to see a pic of who your dealing with!
Its my first attempt at a blog so it will be a trail and error effort I feel.. I have some networking friends who do blogging on a regular basis and I asked them.. "What do I say in a blog?"
One of the guys gave me a really good answer that I think about often. He said, Write the blog as if your writing to your grandmother!!.. I found that funny at the time, But I thought about it for a while and what he is basically saying is.. If you cant say it to your grandmother.. Do not put it in your blog!! Good advice.. Thanks mate.
I have been working full time from home for about 5 years plus now. I remember the first biz I was in vividly, It was a massive failure. Both financially and spiritually. I was broken both ways big time. Why did I keep going?. Because I have tonnes of drive and determination to succeed.
It was "Coastal Vacations". It took me 18 month to sell 2 x 1295 usd packages.. Day in Day out of calling and prospecting people.. Sheer hard work and diligence there eh??.. Could you do that for 18 months?. Call people day in day out for 1.5 years? Alot of people could not..and would not too.. I have guts.. I know I do.. But guts does not necessarily make you alot of money or make you successful either.
I made alot of friends and contacts on the way in those first 5 years, Some have kept in touch, Some have fallen by the wayside. That's the sad part, People get disillusioned. People do one of 2 things when they are disillusioned, They either give up or look for answers.
I have said this a few times to people, If my Father was a networker he would be probably one of the best out there. I worked in a family business for 24 years and my father taught me alot about relationships. Mike Dillard The Owner of Magnetic Sponsoring, reminds me of my Father. He would say exactly the same thing as Mike. If your sat there scratching your head and thinking what would Mike Dillard say go to Magnetic Sponsoring. You will figure out what I am talking about..It will come apparent to you in a flash as it has to thousands of struggling networkers out there. A clue is, You don't just need a drill to make a hole.
This Is Me Doing The Coast To Coast - New Zealand

Sometimes its not all work, You have to have your time out and release don’t you?
I could write a few pages about what I have done in my life since I left school.. So this will defintley be an ongoing project!
But thats where I would like to start.. Leaving school.. My life took off when that happened.
I had parents who did not mind me travelling at all, even at school as a very young age I thought nothing of cycling 20 miles to see my Grandparents without telling my Parents!!.
I have travelled the world and seen many things, On my own and with other people. I do like my own company, That does not mean I am a loner or anything, But I like to be on my own sometimes when travelling. I make Friends quickly, Always have. I could walk upto a complete stranger and strike up a conversation and think nothing of it. Whats that famous saying. “You only make a first impression once”. That’s very true.
Funny thing is, The same is not so easy when meeting someone face to face talking business. Talking for making friends is alot easier for me. So that’s the mentality I have when talking to someone about network marketing. I get my head in the state of thinking I am just making a new friend.
But lets talk about what I have done since leaving school. I finished about Easter 72, I really had had enough by then. I finished earlier than I was supposed to. I had 2 motor bikes, trail bikes, A Montessa and a Bultaco. We lived next to some awesome woods with steep banks and a river in the bottom that was full of dumped cars. So it was ready for me to ride my bike down there on a daily basis. I loved trail biking, probably cos of the mud. I loved getting muddy. Muddier the better as far as I was concerned!
One of the bikes used to break down on a regular basis.. It always seemed to break down as far away from my home as seemed possible.. I used to push that bike home on a regular basis.. Ah well.. Onward and upward!
So a few years after pushing my bike home I figured it was time do try something else.. I have 2 brothers and 1 sister, I am the youngest of 4 children, born 27th November 1958 in Burnley in Lancashire in the UK. Thats about 20 miles away from Manchester.
My eldest brother, Trevor used to do “Fell Running”, In the UK thats a pretty popular sport for outdoorsy type of people. Its running up and down mountains in a nutshell. I know, your thinking this guy has got to be crazy!!.. We English at times are a little “out there”, but it was a really good sport I enjoyed. Its funny how I got into Fell Running though, Cos at the time I smoked and thats not the best way to start running.
Here,s how I got into it:
I was engaged to a girl and we broke up, Well she broke up with me to be honest.. That came out of the blue to a degree, But looking back a couple of years later I now understand. Remember I said my parents did not mind me travelling, Well when I was 18, I had a Yamaha 650 road bike, I went down to Spain on it with my Fiance, which from the UK was about a 1200 mile trip, anyway, I got knocked off in the South of France on the way home, We had to catch the train all the way back from the South of France back to the UK, That was an epic trip and we argued all the way home and lost luggage and money and so on and so on.. Things just got worse as the 3 day trip went on.. So about a month after we got back to the UK my Fiance finished with me.. I was gutted, very upset and my brother saw that and said how about coming to a Fell race at the weekend,
So I went along and saw all the guys and girls set off on a 2 hr race up and down about 3 mountains.. My brother did well.. He was a good runner ( that’s past tense, cos now he does not do it anymore) they all started coming in after about 2 hrs looking knackered and muddied upto the eye balls!!! I was hooked! That was my introduction to Fell Running. My first race was the next weekend, I finished but was well down in the field, Coughing and spluttering all the way.. Too many smokes. I quit smoking very quickly and started training very seriously. But thats another story I just wanted to tell you how I got into Fell Running.
